When you play a game called “Gunblood,” you can pretty much expect two things above all else: guns and blood. Not surprisingly, that’s exactly what you get with this new game on This is easily one of the most violent and bloody flash games that this reviewer has seen on the Internet, and that’s saying something.

Gunblood is essentially a quick-draw game. You pick one of ten available gunslinglers and have it out with the other nine. The weapon of choice is a six shooter, and chances are that you will need all six of your bullets in each fight. It’s not that the characters can take a lot of punishment. They really can’t. In fact, they bleed and flop around all over the place as your bullets rip into them. The trick is to knock down all of their health as quickly as possible. Of course, the real goal of each fight should probably be to score one quick shot to the head and end things quickly, but that’s easier said than done.

Speaking of which, this game is HARD. It’s simple to pick up and play, but you have to draw your gun by moving your mouse from the bottom of the screen into the play field when it tells you to draw. It’s harder than it looks, and while you’re trying to score that one perfect kill shot your opponent is unloading his gun on you. Most rounds end with you firing your last bullet after being shot in the knees and the stomach and just barely blowing the other guy’s head off (and yes, it’s as violent as it sounds).

“Gunblood” is a simple and violent game that should satisfy your bloodlust while you’re on your break. It’s a little frustrating, but it provides quite a challenge as well. It’s definitely not for the squeamish, though.
