Tofu Hunter, on Adult Swim’s game website, is a fairly basic point-and-shoot hunting game, with a very unique and humorous twist – instead of hunting ‘normal’ animals, you are hunting tofu. It is apparently a funny little dig at vegetarians, who are always telling us that ‘meat is murder’.

In this game, you are attempting to shoot the required number of Tofu Bucks, as well as the particular Trophy Tofu Buck for the specific level, without accidentally shooting a Tofu Doe. The Tofu Bucks are distinguished by a rack of antlers, while the Trophy animal is a different color. There are also various bonus animals to shoot, such as Tofu Dogs, which literally look like hot dogs inching their way along the ground. There are other things to shoot as well, like a carton of soy milk, which gives you additional time on the level.
Tofu Hunter has three different stages, or safari areas – Forest, Tundra, and Desert, and there are five days of hunting per stage. Each day of hunting allows you to change your weapons, and also has a different number of Tofu Bucks that you are required to kill.

The various weapons in Tofu Hunter can be unlocked by achieving different goals. For instance, scoring 110,000 points or more in a single safari area will unlock the Bazooka. Other weapons can be unlocked by scoring different point values, by killing a specific number of Tofu Bucks, or by getting a specific number of ‘clean kills’, which is done by killing a Tofu Buck in one shot.
Over all, Tofu Hunter is an extremely fun and addicting game, which can be recommended for any adult with some time to kill and the desire to kill that time by killing tofu!
