Tangram

Tangram is an old Chinese board game that brings a new challenge to puzzle games. This game really tests your mind as you try to form pictures with the pieces that you are given. The overall purpose of this game is to use the 7 puzzle pieces, which are shapes, to correctly make a picture in the grid.

As you start out at level one, you only have two or three shapes to figure out their place. On the grid there is a picture that has already been started and you must simply figure out where your pieces go to correctly finish the puzzle. This may sound easy but there is a little more to the game than that.

In order to get the pieces to fit, you must rotate and flip them so that they can be properly placed. The 7 pieces of a Tangram cannot overlap each other and if they do, you must start over. Also, as you progress into higher levels, you begin having a larger number of pieces to maneuver as well as a higher number of holes in the picture to be filled in.

As the levels get harder, it very easy to misplace a shape on the board. This slight mistake can ultimately lead to you having to restart the entire puzzle. To make it even harder, you may not realize that you made the mistake until you go to place the last piece into the picture.
