Question: What do you get if you take the setting and feel of Microsoft’s Halo series, and combine it with the fast-paced action from Quake and Unreal Tournament?
Answer: Probably a Michael Bay film. But, also, Warmerise, a multiplayer-only first person shooter created and maintained by NSdesignGames. Given that its actual subtitle is “Red vs Blue”, it’s a little hard not to make a comparison to the Halo games, which it obviously draws some inspiration from in its visuals and general feel. However, its gameplay is quite a bit different, and it’s worth looking at on its own merit.

Protect The Guns In Parabirds
There have been countless games over the years that deal with protecting gun emplacements. Parabirds is one of the most popular ideas for shooting games that has ever come along, and it links the gamer back to the days for the World Wars, when arial combat was very new and protecting the guns at all costs was something that every general spent a lot of time thinking about. This is not the case in war any longer, not with so many automated defense systems and unmanned aircraft, but the games still keep this tradition alive and well in the minds of computer users. The Bubble Spinner game is yet another super fun, addictive, strategy game. The idea of the game is to shoot the bubbles and match three or more of the same color. When you get three together, those bubbles will disappear. To do this, you need to aim the pink arrow to the location you would like your bubble to land (balls of the same color) and then click to shoot. The bubbles you shoot will cause your board to spin in various directions, adding another element to the game. From time to time, the game will throw more bubbles at your board. (more…)
