Record Tripping
Record Tripping, an online flash game, is not your typical puzzle involving mazes. In fact, users may be pleasantly surprised at just how different and interactive it is.
Players must lead a ball through the various tunnels in a barrel while it rolls up a hill. But that’s not all that there is to it. While the voice of a woman reads the story of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, you are also expected to slow down or speed up the barrel using the mouse and scroll. Doing this not only helps guide the ball to the end with smart maneuvering, but it will also change the tone and way that the story is told. Speeding it up causes a scratching sound, hence the name Record Tripping.
Before you are allowed to start, a short tutorial is introduced to you. You learn just what you are expected to do with the mouse, and how to do it, with the help of a talking cat and record player. After the game confirms that you understand, you are then allowed to start.
It may take practice to get the ball to the end as fast as possible, earning a high score as a result. But Record Tripping makes the journey fun and engaging no matter what your skill level may be, making the player want to try again and again.
