Radioactive Teddy Bear Zombies is yet another game from Adultswim.com. For those unfamiliar with Adult Swim, it is a popular block of adult cartoons on the Cartoon Network. The website offers dozens of free flash games that feature the same kind of irreverent humor that their cartoons showcase.
The theme of this game is about a town that becomes terrorized when nuclear waste turns stuffed animals at a toy factory into monsters. You play a young boy who is loaded to the teeth with weapons and on a mission to find his father, the town sheriff.
This game is primarily a platform shooter of the type that was popular during the 8-16 bit videogame era. The graphics look like something you’d find on an old SNES. They are colorful and creative and have a style that would be right at home on an Adult Swim cartoon.
There’s a decent variety of enemies for a game of this type. You’ll be blasting away at different types of zombies, teddy bears, stuffed elephants, and giant mutated cats. There’s a lot of wacky humor in the games narrative.
The controls work with a combination of the keyboard direction keys and the mouse. You walk and jump with the keys while aiming weapons with the mouse. This gives the game a unique feel that is a cross between a console game and a computer shooter.
The difficulty of Radioactive Teddy Bear Zombies is moderate and you should be able to play through it in just an hour or two.
