Knight Elite

Knight Elite is a game developed by Kaiparasoft (Ninja Kiwi) 2010. The game is rated PG-13 for animated violence so users under the age of 13 should be aware of this.
Upon loading, the player is faced with the video game screen of our hero. There are two modes by which to select: “New Game” and “Elite Mode”. Elite mode is not available at the start of the game and may become available after the first complete run through of the game. The controls utilize the keyboard WASD for movement and mouse combination for attack. There are several keyboard shortcuts for repair of barricades and regroup of forces.
Knight Elite is an over head view Hack n Slash meets Castle Defense game. The goal of the game is to keep the invading orcs out of your castle while repairing and upgrading your armor. The Orcs will come in waves and will typically get stronger and will vary attack strategies as the game progress. Fans that are familiar with the Gauntlet series of video games will like the over head view of Knight Elite. Your main hero will level up with each successful kill of an orc. Your character can then select attribute points to spend into different statistics to boost effectiveness. Armor can also be purchased by the money that the orcs drop by pressing the pause or space bar button.

Knight Elite - Attacking Orcs
Graphics of the game are average in comparison to current flash games available on the internet. The graphics are not detailed and there is no interaction with the environment other than the occasional fix of the castle door. There is no sense of urgency to fix the gates because the hero is not penalized for allowing the orcs to run around. The game ends when the hero dies, which is unfortunate. The game may perhaps be more challenging if the orcs could attack developments that the hero has built. Also, to add realism, a set amount of villagers can be added to survive with the hero within a given wave. Sound is pretty monotonous and does not have catchy theme music while the hero hacks and slashes each orc. The sounds of swords clinking, orcs grunting, and money falling are all the ambient sounds that fill Knight Elite.
Knight Elite is fun and engaging for fans of the hack and slash genre. The ability to customize your hero adds an infinite amount of ways to create a hero to your specification.
