Ghost Guidance is a fairly straightforward left to right, flying shoot-em-up game, with an interesting premise – You control the fate of a ghost that was created and made self aware by humans, and has decided to escape.
The controls for the game are quite simple. The arrow keys control movement, which is very smooth in all directions, unlike other games of this type. When you begin the game, you are flying around as a small ghostly entity, which is very weak, and will in fact quickly die unless you ‘infect’ an enemy ship. (more…)

Are you tired of playing boring Flash games? If so, you might want to try The Bow Game. Through it, you assume the role of a medieval archer, who must shoot a series of flying discs to prove his prowess. If you play successfully, you will win trophies and unlock other portions of the game.
To begin The Bow Game, you must decide which weapon you’re going to use. If you want to jumpstart the game, use one of the bows pictured at the top of the screen. Otherwise, choose “Weapons” from the right portion of the screen. From there, you will have to choose from four types of bows: short, long, composite and crossbow. For each choice, there will be one or two weapons that are initially available. The other selections will be locked. If you hover the mouse over the locked weapons, you will see a message telling you what needs to be done to unlock the weapon. (more…)

Tofu Hunter, on Adult Swim’s game website, is a fairly basic point-and-shoot hunting game, with a very unique and humorous twist – instead of hunting ‘normal’ animals, you are hunting tofu. It is apparently a funny little dig at vegetarians, who are always telling us that ‘meat is murder’. (more…)

Nob War: The Elves is a NobStudio game where you guide your elf army alongside your human and centaur allies across 19 levels. The unit you control directly is the elf army, which shoot arrows at a distance. You can summon your high defense human allies, who move slower than your elves but have a much higher defense, and will hold off enemies so you can shoot them. You can also summon centaurs, which will charge an enemy and stun them, which is useful against groups of enemy archers. (more…)

Radioactive Teddy Bear Zombies is yet another game from Adultswim.com. For those unfamiliar with Adult Swim, it is a popular block of adult cartoons on the Cartoon Network. The website offers dozens of free flash games that feature the same kind of irreverent humor that their cartoons showcase.
The theme of this game is about a town that becomes terrorized when nuclear waste turns stuffed animals at a toy factory into monsters. You play a young boy who is loaded to the teeth with weapons and on a mission to find his father, the town sheriff. (more…)

Raze is a side scrolling action shooter that requires quick thinking and fast reflexes. Raze has two modes, the single player campaign and the multi player team matches. For those gamers who are used to playing online team death match games like those found in Halo 3 or other similar shooters the rules for the different levels should be rather easy. However, this is not a first person shooter so while the rules of the death match games may be familiar the play style will not be.
After starting Raze for the first time players will be able to make their own character by selecting from a handful of options from categories like visual style to voice type. After an avatar has been created and named, players will be able to jump into the game play. In the single player campaign you will start out playing the human storyline and after you complete that you can move on to play the alien storyline. Game play is always similar no matter which mode or storyline you play. (more…)

SteamBirds: Dog-Fighting Fun
SteamBirds is a simple to play but challenging strategy game. The play is turn based, and everything can be controlled with your mouse. The graphics are attractive and the overhead perspective works well here.
The background of SteamBirds is an alternative history where your steam-driven fusion planes engage in dog-fights with Britain’s enemies. The levels are presented as years on a timeline. Each level progressively adds to the challenge with more and stronger enemies planes. The enemies are varied by weapons, speed, armoring, and they all need a different approach. At the end of each successfully completed level, you earn stars based on how well you did and how much damage was done to your planes. (more…)
