Arena shooters are a weird breed. While the genre was once well-represented on Flash sites, it’s died off a bit in favor of quasi-survival games. Kogama War 4, however, stays true to the spirit of these old games with a twist. Like in other Kogama games, you will not only be fighting against opponents, but you’ve got a gun that allows you to build voxel-based structures. It’s a perfect marriage of two popular genres in theory. What the game manages to do, though, is just a little less perfect. How much fun you have depends on which of the two genres you’re really looking forward to.

“Kugeln.io” is a very ambitious game, attempting to create something that hasn’t been done in the IO game genre. However, the ambition of “Kugeln.io” is its downfall, as the game fails to succeed with audiences thanks to a lack of instructions.

With Madalin Stunt Cars 2, you get the option to choose from several cool cars. Each has different stats, is a different model, and has different paint jobs. You can see the different metrics of each car in the main menu screen in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Once you choose your car, you can choose your race track. Each one is distinctive and fun to play on.
You can also choose to play single or multiplayer. I chose to test out the single player mode. (more…)

While most IO multiplayer games put you in the role of one particular animal, Mopeio lets you play as the entire animal kingdom. In this online multiplayer game, the objective is to evolve your creature without getting eaten by opposing players. (more…)

“Cartoon Strike” is a first-person multiplayer shooter. The game uses the popular graphics style of “Minecraft” to create a distinctive looking world. The graphics are a little rough around the edges. Some of the objects and terrain elements in the game appear as just broad areas of color making it difficult to distinguish what you are seeing at times. There is no music in the game. The sound effects are nothing special. You hear only the sounds of weapons firing. You do not hear calls from teammates or death noises to indicate what is happening within the match. (more…)

“Slither.io” is a multiplayer game that closely resembles many other ones in this particular genre. The graphics are nicely done. Everything flows smoothly on the screen without being jumpy or leaving visual artifacts behind. The colors are bright and fun for the snakes. The background is less impressive. It is just a dull grey honeycomb pattern repeated over and over again. A major issue is that there is no sound in the game at all. There are no sound effects to confirm you did something or music to create atmosphere. This can make the gameplay seems a little boring and dry at times. (more…)

G-Switch 2 is an endless runner parkour game where the player must travel to the end of the stage. This is accomplished by jumping from wall to wall with the tap of a button or click of the mouse. (more…)

Legends of Honor has very nicely done graphics. Unfortunately, the graphics are very small even in full screen mode making it hard to appreciate all of the intricate details of each piece. The animations are fluid although they are rare on most play screens. One major drawback of the game is that there is no sound. There are no sound options. You are playing in complete silence. This really takes away from the game because there is no atmospheric music and no audio feedback that you clicked a button or something happened. (more…)

The Castle TV game involves finding hidden objects. It is based on the television show Castle. The game appears to be officially licensed by the broadcast network. The graphics are a mixture of photos that have been run through a filter to make them look like paintings and computer rendered objects. They are satisfactory for the mood of the game although there are few animations beyond static items sliding across the screen. There is music in the background but no voiceover work or atmospheric sound effects. (more…)
