Super Mario Star Scramble 2 is, despite the astoundingly long name, pretty simple (and fun) to play. It takes the basic formula that has made Super Mario brothers games classics, and puts its own unique spin on it. (more…)

Reminiscent of the old Donkey Kong and Mario Brothers games, Enough Plumbers is a maze game that has a twist. Like its retro counterparts, you are required to climb through a maze by jumping and running up different platforms. You need to collect coins along the way. The twist to the game is that every time you collect a coin you get a clone. You can collect as many clones as there are coins on each level. You are required to have at least one clone with you when you reach the end of the maze to advance to the next level. (more…)

Ghost Guidance is a fairly straightforward left to right, flying shoot-em-up game, with an interesting premise – You control the fate of a ghost that was created and made self aware by humans, and has decided to escape.
The controls for the game are quite simple. The arrow keys control movement, which is very smooth in all directions, unlike other games of this type. When you begin the game, you are flying around as a small ghostly entity, which is very weak, and will in fact quickly die unless you ‘infect’ an enemy ship. (more…)

Tofu Hunter, on Adult Swim’s game website, is a fairly basic point-and-shoot hunting game, with a very unique and humorous twist – instead of hunting ‘normal’ animals, you are hunting tofu. It is apparently a funny little dig at vegetarians, who are always telling us that ‘meat is murder’. (more…)

Neon Rider is a free arcade game developed by Joey Betz. It is a bike racing game done in a 80s style. Getting inside is as easy as pressing a “Begin” button with no registration and e-mail confirmation required. There are twenty levels that you can play on including Introductory level as well as those that are more challenging, such as Over the Edge, Red Snake or Evil Spaghetti.
Once you enter it, you are thrown into cyber space with neon lights showing you the way. Everything is clearly visible including your time, W A S D keystroke controls that you use for controlling the bike, the terrain in front of you, as well as other options. So getting to know this game is a real no brainer.

The game Data Worm is simple yet very fascinating. It’s so blunt and memorable a great example of how programmers should do games. Just outstanding! I would call it a perfect equation with triangles, circles and diamond shaped objects.
