SteamBirds: Dog-Fighting Fun
SteamBirds is a simple to play but challenging strategy game. The play is turn based, and everything can be controlled with your mouse. The graphics are attractive and the overhead perspective works well here.
The background of SteamBirds is an alternative history where your steam-driven fusion planes engage in dog-fights with Britain’s enemies. The levels are presented as years on a timeline. Each level progressively adds to the challenge with more and stronger enemies planes. The enemies are varied by weapons, speed, armoring, and they all need a different approach. At the end of each successfully completed level, you earn stars based on how well you did and how much damage was done to your planes. (more…)

Canabalt: Outrun the demolition of your city with just one button!
In the straightforward but highly addictive flash-based platform game Canabalt, you control a man running along the rooftops to save himself from some kind of urban catastrophe. In this automatic side scroller developed by Adam Atomic , your character is always running forward. Only one move is possible: the jump, which is performed by hitting the “X” or “C” buttons on the keyboard. The game ends when you are crushed by certain falling obstacles or fail to make a proper jump and fall to your death.

G-Switch is a different type of flash game. There are no enemies to kill, bullets to dodge, or guns. The concept is simultaneously simple, challenging, and incredibly addictive. The object of the game is to simply guide your character, a running man, across the field of play. The trick to the game is that every time the character jumps gravity is reversed. Since there are many gaps in the runway knowing when to switch gravity is the key to winning the game. While the game play sounds simple, the courses are incredibly challenging and addictive. (more…)

Toss The Turtle is one of the many exciting games that can be found on the most cool gaming sites. It’s certainly a unique game. It would be difficult to figure out what kind of person would come up with a game where the goal is to ‘toss’ a turtle out of a cannon as far as possible. I guess it would be the same kind of person who has figured out how to design entertaining games, because Toss The Turtle is a lot of fun. (more…)
